The Composition library

By presenting their compositions, composers involved with the VILLA OF COMPOSERS will set the tone and rhythm of the VILLA OF COMPOSERS’ artistic content. The six-monthly commission will decide upon which of the compositions to accept and will keep those that can be developed by the VILLA OF COMPOSERS®. A digital version of these compositions will be stored as a precautionary measure and will be made available to any person accepting the conditions of reading proposed by the VILLA OF COMPOSERS®.

Presentation of the compositions to the Composition library

The presentation of the compositions by composers will be at the heart of the VILLA OF COMPOSERS’ dynamic. Nevertheless, with the aim of guaranteeing the very high quality of the compositions in the repository, the works presented will only be accepted after meeting certain conditions: these form the “acceptance examination” conducted by a commission, with the results being validated by the President of the Villa.

The label "The Villa of Composers®"

One of these initial conditions, and not a minor one, will consist of submitting a review of the composition, written by someone other than the composer. Only the compositions deemed successful after the “acceptance examination” will receive the VILLA OF COMPOSERS® seal of approval and will bear the trademark.

The acceptance examination will lead to a technical opinion from the commission: the nature of the composition, acceptance conditions, readability, technical and technological quality, versions and notification to the composer of potential musical or audio problems. If a musical, technical or audio problem is raised, or at the request of the composer, the composition will move into the review system so that it can be presented in the future.

If the work fulfils all of the conditions required for presentation, it will be accepted by the VILLA OF COMPOSERS® and will bear the trademark. It will form part of the Composition library and will be listed on the website.
